Penetrometer

This test is used to determine the setting time of Concrete where the slump value is
greater than zero, using a penetration method and taking measurements on mortar which has been sieved from the concrete. The initial and final setting times are taken as the elapsed period when the penetration resistance reaches 3.5mPa (500psi) and 27.6mPa (4000psi).
The apparatus consists of a spring loaded device which is graduated from 1-100kgf,
supplied complete with a set of needles points of 650,325,160,65,32 and 16mm2 area. A sliding ring indicates the load reached. Supplied complete with carrying case.
